Remote Controlled Alarm

The alarm is triggered if anyone attempts to open the doors, hood or tailgate, as well as reacting to movement inside the car or if a window is broken. Add the dealer-installed level sensor and the alarm triggers if the car is jacked up - and you can activate it manually from your remote control in an emergency.

Power Operated Tailgate

The tailgate can be opened automatically three ways: with the remote control, using the switch on the dashboard, or by pulling the handle.

To help minimize risk of injury, only a switch in the tailgate can be used to trigger automatic closing. Also, an anti-jam strip around the tailgate opening can detect obstructions to help avoid pinching fingers.

Door Mirrors Puddle Lights

Acting with your car's approach lighting, the door mirrors with puddle lights help you see if anyone's hiding in the vicinity of your car and help you avoid any puddles or pavement edges.

Personal Car Communicator

The Personal Car Communicator (PCC) is an advanced remote control that combines keyless drive with two-way communication with your Volvo.

Keep the PCC with you and the car unlocks automatically on your arrival. Start the engine with a press of a button, lock the car by pressing a button in the door handle. Later in the day, if you're wondering whether you've locked the car, your PCC can remind you; no matter where you are. And when you return to your Volvo – within a radius of approx. 200 to 328 feet – pressing the PCC information button will give you a current report on its status. And if the alarm has been activated, the onboard heartbeat sensor will give you advanced warning if there's somebody in your car and an opportunity to evaluate the situation safely. PCC can also be used to operate the other remote controlled functions – such as the central locking, alarm, security lighting and panic alarm.

Also known as Power Child Locks - Enables you to conveniently lock the rear doors and rear power windows from the driver’s seat and prevent them from being opened from the inside.

Dual Two-Stage Booster Seats

Dual Two-Stage Integrated Booster Seats w/Adaptive Seatbelts are another safety world first by Volvo. These integrated seats adjust two heights to accommodate children of different sizes. Now even smaller children can be seated higher to enjoy a safer and more comfortable ride. And as the children grow, the seat height can be adjusted accordingly. This optimizes the seatbelt geometry, and will – together with the built-in seatbelt load limiter – help reduce the strain on the child's neck and chest. And when the booster cushions are not needed, they're easily folded into the rear seat cushions.

The upper setting is designed for children measuring 37-47 in. and weighing between 33 and 55 lbs., while the lower setting is intended for children between 45 and 55 in. height and weighing between 48 and 80 lbs.

It also stays inflated in multiple or longer-duration accidents to help keep occupants inside the cabin. And to help protect children in the rear seat, IC interacts with the two-stage integrated booster cushions.
